Between Robben Island and Table Mountain
you’ll discover the famed Table Bay hotel. During the
day the cool Atlantic Ocean breeze eases
the heat of the Africa’s mother city: Cape Town. Cosmopolitan,
gracious and relaxed The Table Bay is the sum of all
that is good about its
home town. At dusk the hum of V&A waterfront’s restaurants, bars
and clubs beckon you from your luxurious room. Be it
business or pleasure, The Table Bay is a journey like no
other.
Accommodation
Sleep comes swiftly in one of our 329 rooms. Each is
crafted to be at once spacious and luxurious. Crisp
linen sheets, beautifully appointed en-suite bathrooms and the latest telephonic
and broadband technology allow you to escape into serenity
and
simultaneously stay in touch with the outside world.
And any whim, any fancy is only a phone call away. Our discreet room service
will attempt the impossible to attend to your needs.
Dining & Bars
The Table Bay is a sanctuary for people who enjoy their
food and wine. Whether it’s elegant dining on authentic
South African cuisine by acclaimed chefs, informal al fresco meals or high
tea
with freshly baked scones, clotted cream and preserves,
The Table Bay will add delight to any occasion. Like a grand hostess she’s
always one step ahead. And there’s always The Table
Bay’s Union
Bar to enjoy a crystal clear glass of champagne or enjoy the
vast range of delux single malt whiskey's we stock in the
bar.
The Lounge
This lofty, open-truss ceilinged room looks across the
harbour, the city and Table Mountain through its high arched main
window. A few steps down from the foyer, The Lounge has a maritime
theme, the artworks depicting sailing ships under full sail in
heavy seas. Up to 60 guests may be seated in deeply comfortable
sofas and chairs magnificently covered in luxurious muted fabrics.
It is here that the Table Bay’s famous Afternoon Tea is served
in courses in the later afternoon, or where guests can enjoy light
lunches, cocktails or after-dinner drinks and coffee. In winter,
the two giant fireplaces cast a warm glow over the comfortable
room decorated with magnificent flower arrangements, which are
a mark of the hotel.
